absurdity

The four seasons
About the work
The work begins with multiplicity. As soon as a few paintings are seen together, relationships emerge, even as each remains distinct. As more are encountered, further connections come into play, yet the unfolding never feels random. Looking becomes an active process.
The paintings draw on a consistent repertoire of abstract shapes that repeat, reverse, and recombine. Connections emerge through comparison and memory, revealing subtle shifts, contradictions, and harmonies over time.
The works are not intended as isolated images, but as parts of an evolving field. Colour, form, and repetition build across the series, allowing perception to develop through sustained looking.
For galleries and curators
The series can be presented as a focused solo exhibition or as part of a broader group context. Ceramic sculptures, paintings, drawings and short stories can be configured to suit different spaces and scales. Exhibition proposals and loans are welcome.
